Maths Leaders Network
The Maths Network was established in 2023 to ensure consistently high-quality Maths provision across all schools within the Maamulaha Network. Its creation responded to a recognised need for greater coherence, shared expertise, and the development of effective Maths pedagogy across settings.
Objectives of the Maths Network
● Strengthen collaboration and professional dialogue among Maths Leads
● Promote the sharing of effective strategies, research, and innovations
● Support consistent and high-quality Maths provision across all schools
● Provide tailored feedback and development opportunities through school visits and written reports
● Provide a comprehensive end-of-year Network Report for Headteachers and Governors
Impact and Activity to Date
The Network is now in its third year. The facilitator works closely with subject leaders to support monitoring processes and provides each school with a detailed report offering feedback, recommendations, and observations. This external perspective provides validation and reflective insight into each school’s Maths provision.
During the previous year, the termly Maths Network meetings successfully facilitated rich professional dialogue, with active contributions from all Maths Leads.

“What a privilege it is to work with such amazingly hard-working individuals and to see the great practice happening in schools across the Network. It is a pleasure to support the sharing of this good practice and to help develop the collaboration of leaders to ensure excellent provision for all pupils within and across schools. I am heartened to see such caring, dedicated professionals with a desire to deepen their knowledge—whether in EYFS Maths, Maths Mastery, how pupils learn best, or provision for SEND, to mention just a few. We are in good hands. Thank you, Maths Leads, for your openness, professionalism, and hard work.”
